Welcome to MissPoulsboMissKitsap.org
Thank
you all for your patience as we continue to resolve our website
issues. We are thrilled to be back on line in this small capacity to
let you know that we are currently accepting applications for the
2009 Miss Poulsbo/Miss Kitsap Scholarship Pageant. The applications
need to be postmarked by September 30, 2009. We have moved our
pageant from March to January 10, 2009 at Bremerton High School
Auditorium. We are excited about the many improvements we are
bringing to the program with this date change. Contestants will now
have a more active role in their communities while running for the
titles of Miss Poulsbo and Miss Kitsap.
This is
the beginning of our tenth year since joining the Miss America
Organization in 2000. Since then 116 Contestants have earned
$162,000.00 in scholarship dollars to further their educations. Our
Little Sister program has had 123 third grade girls go through our
wonderful mentoring program where they learn about stage presence,
confidence and girl power in addition to other valuable life lessons.
This year our first group of Little Sisters is old enough to run for
our pageant. We are currently accepting applications for this
historic class of Little Sisters. The final group of Little Sisters
will be notified in late October after we finalize our Contestant
roster for the year.
We have
been blessed with two wonderful titleholders this year, Miss Poulsbo,
Amy Stadshaug and Miss Kitsap Samantha Przybylek. They have been a
joy to work with and have set a high standard of excellence for our
future titleholders. They have made more appearances in their shorted
year than most of our other titleholders. It is our goal to get this
website back up and running to reflect the great job both of these
young women are doing in our county. A special thank you to Paul
Conrad of PC Innovations for hanging in there and helping us through
this difficult transition. You can also learn more about us on our
